Catherine set up her practice in Salisbury in 1995 and became a Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers in 2002. She is now an adjudicator for the Society. Catherine became a Designer Member of the British Association of Landscape Industries in 2010. Her designs have featured on TV in the Garden Makers series and in books and magazines.
Catherine has been involved in the design of hundreds of gardens and landscapes since starting her business, in many styles from traditional to contemporary. These range from commercial projects including schools and homes for the elderly, as well as private gardens. She has worked with architects and developers as well as private clients and community groups.
Sustainable design is a particular interest and Catherine aims to enhance the garden whilst respecting the wider environment and encouraging wildlife.
A good understanding of design principles, construction techniques and plant knowledge forms a sound basis for Catherine's design work.
